POLICE arrested a man last night for making threats with a Stanley knife.
Officers were out on patrol as part of Operation Jemlock - West Yorkshire Police's dedicated knife and serious violent crime prevention initiative.
The operation hit a significant milestone of more than 1000 arrests back in October, after just six months.
While out last night in Thornton, police spotted a 37-year-old male who was wielding a Stanley knife.
He was making threats, so officers detained him.
The man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon.
