SEVEN Bradford primary schools showcased their musical flair at a city centre hotel last month.

Pupils from the different schools took part in a Mini Prom at The Bradford Hotel in November.

This included, Reevy Hill, Lidget Green, Hollingwood, Ley Top, Keelham, Clayton Village and Wibsey - who organised the event.

A spectacular show was put on for parents and teachers alike.

At the very end, all the primary schools united to perform Gary Barlow's "Sing".

Two of the schools have also been selected to take part in the Bradford School's Prom at St George's Hall in March, 2020.

Joanne White, the Music Lead at Wibsey Primary, said: "The Mini Prom was a huge success and provided all the children taking part with an opportunity to shine in front of an audience of parents, fellow pupils and teachers."

The Mini Prom was funded by the Bradford Music Service, which organises the Bradford School’s Prom each year.

Lighting, the backdrop, and PA system was provided by music charity SORM – School of Rock and Media - based in Little Germany, Bradford.

There was also some expert help from BHT Music, Movers and Shakers, which specialises in Early Years music development.

They assisted with the performances by Kellham and Ley Top.

Dave Morrison, from BHT Music, Movers and Shakers, said: "This was a great opportunity for all the schools taking part as music is loved by everyone.

"It helps children in building life skills and encourages creativity."
