POLICE arrested a drink-driver and dealt with a host of other offences as part of a dedicated operation.

West Yorkshire Police's Bradford East team and Roads Policing Unit joined forces on Tuesday morning.

The focus of the day was to tackle and highlight the dangers of drink-driving.

This paid dividends with a positive roadside sample, which resulted in an arrest for driving while over the prescribed limit.

There were also four negative breath tests.

Alongside this, officers stopped, seized and reported motorists for a number of other offences.

Four vehicles were seized for driving with no insurance, with one traffic offence report and two people summoned to court for the same issue.

Seven reports were filed for vehicles not having a valid MOT.

There was also a traffic offence report for running a red light, three people stop-searched and one ticket issued for not wearing a seatbelt.
