PLANS for a milk 'vending machine' have been approved.
Low Springs Farm, on Hawksworth Road, Baildon, unveiled the proposal to create a timber hut to house the piece of kit, which will give members of the public an opportunity to buy "farm fresh pasteurised milk at their convenience".
The application said the vending machine will cut out the 'middle man' for an element of overall milk sales, pass a saving on to customers and provide a small additional income for the farm.
The decision report says: The development is considered appropriate in green belt and to preserve the openness of the green belt and the development would have an acceptable impact on the character and appearance of the green belt and upland pasture landscape, occupiers of adjacent land, drainage, highway safety and community safety."
