A BURGLED shop has smashed its crowd funding target to install roller shutters.
The Triangle, on Bradford Road, Shipley, was broken into on Monday and £3,000 of stock and equipment was stolen.
However, a crowd funding page was set up, primarily to raise £1,000 for shutters to be installed and deter any more burglars.
The target was raised within 24 hours, but money has continued to pour in and £1,700 has now been donated.
A post on the shop's Facebook page expressed delight: "Well, that's amazing, we hit our target for the shutters within 24 hours, thanks so much for everyone's support, you've made a grown man cry and turned a difficult time into something quite life affirming."
