A FAMILY of four will soon be setting off on a 1,000 mile round trip to Bayeux Cemetery as they bid to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
Husband and wife Carl and Debra Brightmore, from Pudsey, who both work for Co-op Funeralcare, will be driving all the way to the cemetery with their two sons to pay their respects to the town's residents who lost their lives in the war.
They will be travelling in style, with a car which has been transformed with a showering of poppies.
Mrs Brightmore said: "This is something that we have always wanted to do and with the support of the Co-op, we’re now able to pay our respects to Pudsey residents who lost their lives in the war."
The family will be placing wreaths and poppy crosses at the graves of Pudsey residents who died in the war.
