A BRADFORD McDonald's has reopened its doors after a major revamp of half a million pounds.
The fast-food restaurant on Ingleby Road closed for refurbishment on September 8.
It officially reopened just under four weeks later on October 2, with the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Doreen Lee, attending a ribbon cutting even that Saturday.
The store is owned and operated by Bradford franchisee Saj Shah.
Mr Shah, who grew up just a stone's throw away from the McDonald's, has owned the restaurant since 2016 and employs 130 staff from the local area.
The businessman also owns two other stores, on in Rooley Lane and another in Leeds.
He said: "Local customers are at the heart of my business, and being able to invest more into the restaurant so close to where I grew up is a really proud moment for me.
"I'm thrilled to be able to welcome customers back to the new look restaurant and offer them the newest digital innovation in how they order and enjoy their food."
The refurb has seen the installation of four self-order kiosks, as well as digital Drive-Thru menu boards.
The store is also offering behind-the-scenes tours to customers as well, for an insight into what exactly goes on behind the counter at their local McDonald's.
On Sunday, October 6, there was also a family-day event.
Bradford-based charity, Cancer Support Yorkshire, were welcomed to fundraise and generate awareness.
The local community is important to owner Mr Shah.
The McDonald's sponsors local grassroots football teams, local charities, and is connected to community groups such as the Carlisle Business Centre.
Mr Shah said: "We work with the community to try deal with deprivation".
If you're interested in a behind-the-scenes tour you should speak to one of the management team when in the restaurant for more information.
