A MAN is in serious condition after a two-vehicle collision on Bingley Road, Hawksworth, this morning.
The injured man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after the road accident which was reported at 7.49am.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the seriousness of the man's injuries was not known.
The road was blocked near Goose Lane and police closed Bingley Road to its junction with Otley Road.
The busy road linking Menston and East Morton is still closed for accident investigation work and there is heavy traffic in the area.
The man was in a white Ford van which was in collision with a white Citroen car.
The ambulance and fire services also attended the crash scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses to get in touch.
