BRADFORD South MP Judith Cummins visited an adventure playground in Holme Wood created by The Valley Project charity.
The playground, off Stirling Crescent, behind the TFD Youth Centre.
Mrs Cummins was joined by Tong community organiser Tom Hughes for a tour of the site by project co-ordinators Laura Bowen and Steven McHugh.
“It was great to see the amazing work that Laura and Steve have done to create this site.
"They have both shown wonderful community spirit and I am glad that Bradford Council has granted them a lease on the land," said Mrs Cummins.
The adventure playground is already open from 2pm - 6pm on Tuesday-Friday, and from midday on Saturday.
An official opening is due to take place later this summer.
The site has had many items donated to them from local businesses.
All local companies, charities and public sector organisations are urged to consider whether items they no longer need could be used as part of the adventure playground. If you can help, get in touch with Laura on Laura.thevalley@gmail.com.
