TWO people have been arrested in Bradford this morning over the illegal import and sale of skulls of endangered crocodiles.
Wildlife officers from across West Yorkshire Police joined staff from the National Wildlife Crime Unit.
West Yorkshire Police's wildlife crime unit tweeted that they executed three search warrants in the Bradford area regarding CITES offences.
They said two persons were arrested and enquires were ongoing.
A 26-year-old male has been released under investigation
CITES is the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
It regulates trade in wildlife, restricting or banning dealing in the products of at-risk species like elephant ivory, tigers and tropical hardwoods.
