A BRADFORD museum will host an exhibition on the history of LGBTQ rights campaigns.
Peace Out opens at The Peace Museum, based in Bradford city centre, next month.
It explores LGBTQ+ activism and peace and will feature newly acquired objects to the museum’s collection. It will tell the stories of those who have peacefully campaigned for LGBTQ+ rights and equality and explore the impact the LGBTQ+ community has had on peacemaking.
The exhibition is the start of a longer term project to engage with the histories and stories of LGBTQ+ peaceful activism and the museum is still searching for objects and stories, and looking for organisations to collaborate with.
The opening event will be held on Thursday May 23 from 5.30pm till 8pm, followed by an afterparty at The Brick Box Rooms on Ivegate, Bradford.
