A JURY at Bradford Crown Court will today hear secret recordings of two men accused of murder.
Mohammed Nisar Khan, 41, known as Meggy, of Holme Lane, Tong, and Tony Grant, 39, of Queens Road, Bradford, deny murdering Amriz Iqbal, along with charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Nadeem Khan, 35, of Roundhay, Leeds, and Salman Ismail, 31, of Hollins Road, Shipley, deny conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and Ismail also denies arson.
The recordings were set to be played in court yesterday afternoon but instead the jury was told there had been a mistake in the preparation of the evidence.
"These are recordings made by the police secretly of visits to both Mr Grant and Mr Khan," the jury was told by Simon Csoka QC, defending Khan.
"Now you can understand the sensitivity and the need for accuracy," said Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC.
The trial, now into its fourth week, continues.
