AN independent Muslim school has been rated Outstanding following a recent Ofsted inspection.
Crystal Gardens Primary School, in Little Horton, had previously been rated Good.
In the report, Ofsted said: “The proprietors’ vision of creating positive role models who actively contribute to the wider community is being achieved.
“The standard of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding. Pupils take great pride in their work and are happy, confident and conduct themselves impeccably.
“Pupils learn about their community and develop respectful, tolerant views of different groups in society.
“Pupils make strong sustained progress and results are well above average.
“Their behaviour is exemplary.”
The only area identified for improvement was the teaching of history and geography.
