A CLIMATE change protest will be held in Bradford city centre this weekend.
It has been organised by Momentum Bradford and District, the local branch of the movement which began after Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour leader.
The 'Let's Bankrupt Climate Change' protest will be held on Saturday (2-4pm) outside Barclays Bank on Market Street.
Bob Cannell, a spokesperson for the Bradford Momentum branch said: "For our children’s sake, I want Barclays to stop financing fossil fuels. We must move on to cleaner energy."
The protest, one of a number taking place across the country, has been inspired by the Youth Strike 4 Climate movement (picture: Bradford strike).
Branch secretary Rod Livesey said: "As an adult, I feel ashamed that we need our children to kick us into action over climate change. I want to show the children that they are not alone."
