NEWLY approved plans will see the derelict site of a former Chinese restaurant transformed into an industrial park.
Bradford Council has approved an application by JC Estates Yorkshire to build 11 industrial units on the former Imperial Restaurant site on Thornton Road on the outskirts of Thornton Village.
The application had said the units would be put on the market once they were completed, adding: “The potential new users would hopefully allow local businesses to move into premises that cater for their needs. We have been made aware by local agents that this area has a growing need for commercial units.”
Eyesore pub could be demolished to make way for industrial units
The units would be based in two blocks, with a total of 1,485sqm of industrial space being created. There will also be a 30 space car park.
The application has now been approved by planning officers at the Council.
