LATEST NEWS: WATCH: Four years on from the demolition of Bradford's most iconic buildings

Despite last-minute complications, the Jacob's Well council offices were finally demolished at noon on Sunday.

The date had been rumoured on social media for some time, but we have respected Bradford Council's decision not to publicise it in advance for safety and security reasons.

And in a uniquely Bradfordian twist, the plans were thrown behind schedule as contractors had to wait for police to release the scene of a serious car crash outside the building.

But organisers were still determined for the demolition to go ahead.

The iconic building, built in the 1970s but empty since 2016, was wiped from the city's skyline using 500 explosive charges - and you were able to watch it live here on the T&A website.

Widespread road closures remained in place for much of the afternoon.
