STUDENTS in Bradford will get a hard-hitting lesson on the risks of underage drinking.
Young people at schools including Beckfoot Upper Heaton, Beckfoot Thornton, Queensbury Academy and Bradford Academy, will watch a play about a group of friends who find themselves in trouble as a result of their misuse of alcohol.
The performance is followed by an interactive workshop.
The performance is part of ‘Smashed’, an alcohol education and awareness programme sponsored by Diageo and delivered by Collingwood Learning.
Bradford South MP Judith Cummins said: "It would have been great if more initiatives like Smashed had been around when I was at school - we never had the opportunity to talk about the facts and risks of alcohol so freely or to ask the questions that are undoubtedly on many young people’s minds. "
She added: "I'm glad students in Bradford will be able to benefit from this experience."
