A FUNDRAISING campaign is underway to help Bradford Cathedral's children's choir take part in a seven-day tour of Germany.
A coach tour to Erfurt and Cologne has been arranged for May this year, giving the choristers the opportunity to sing with people from another country and learn from their German counterparts.
It's also hoped it will create and strengthen links with the choirs and churches in Germany.
The children will have the opportunity to visit places of cultural, historical and musical significance and the trip will enable children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to travel abroad the chance to do so.
The cathedral said: "The choristers are extremely excited at the prospect of visiting Germany, and there are lots of events being planned for them while on the tour.
"However, as Bradford Cathedral Choir is not a subsidised choir or linked to a fee-paying educational establishment, we are hoping to raise funds to help with the costs of providing this opportunity."
It said it would be "extremely grateful" for any contribution.

A target of £1,500 has been set on the fundraising page.
