MOTORISTS are being warned to plan their journeys ahead this week, with Highways England due to carry out roadworks on the M62 and M606 motorways.
The westbound exit slip road at Junction 27 for Gildersome will be closed for five nights from Monday, December 10, for junction improvement works.
The southern roundabout will also be closed for five nights from tomorrow, as will the M621 to the M62 anti-clockwise exit slip road.
The M62 between Junction 27 and Junction 26 for Chain Bar will be fully closed in both directions overnight for two nights from Saturday, December 15, for cable works.
Both carriageways on the M606, from Junction 3 at Staithgate Roundabout to where the motorway joins the M62 at Junction 26 will also be fully closed for two nights from December 15, also for cable work.
The closures for all the works will last from 8pm to 6am, and for each closure a clearly signed diversion route will be in place for motorists to follow.
