BRADFORD Grammar School has been listed in the top three independent schools in the North of England in the Sunday Times Schools Guide 2019.
The school, in Keighley Road, Manningham, placed in third spot, behind Queen Ethelburga's College and St Peter's School, both in York.
The ratings will be published in the Sunday Times tomorrow, and are collated using Parent Power, which is acknowledged as the most authoritative survey of the UK's best schools.
In A-Levels this summer, 78.5 per cent of exams received an A* to B grade, and 75.7 per cent of GCSEs received an A* or an A, or 9 to 7 in the new system.
The Grammar School at Leeds came a spot behind Bradford, with the per cent of top A-Level grades three per cent lower, and GCSEs almost four per cent.
Bradford Grammar was named Northern Independent School of the Year in the 2018 list.
There was also success for the Bradford area in the top ten state secondary school tables.
Skipton Girls' High School came in second spot behind Ripon Grammar School, while Ermysted's Grammar School in Skipton placed sixth.
The North Halifax Grammar School in Illingworth, which has a number of students from the Bradford district, came seventh, and Heckmondwike Grammar School ended up ninth.
At Skipton Girls', 68 per cent of A-Levels results were A* to B, and 50.7 per cent of GCSE were the top grades.
Lady Lane Park School & Nursery in Bingley also made the Top 100 primary schools list, coming in 78th spot.
