AROUND 80 brave souls took part in a Halloween Monster Dash in aid of Manorlands.

The second annual event was held in the grounds of Cliffe Castle, Keighley.

Participants arrived in Halloween costume and received a head torch, before setting off walking around the park – which was filled with spooky surprises.

Those surviving the experience received a Monster Dash medal at the finish line. More than 50 people were involved as actors.

The event was organised by the Sue Ryder hospice’s Riddlesden and East Morton support group.

About £2,500 was raised.

Andrew Wood, a Manorlands-based Sue Ryder fundraiser and the event lead, said everyone who took part appeared to enjoy it. But relatively low numbers mean the event probably won’t be held next year. Photo by John Ashton
