As its Halloween, we take a look at 10 of the district's most haunted pubs.
1. The ghost of a man in a flat cap is said to haunt the Cricketers Arms, in Keighley.
2. The Dog and Gun, Oxenhope, is reputed to have mischievous ghost with a taste for playing Julio Iglesias at top volume.
3. The former landlady of the spookily-named Old Silent Inn, Stanbury, reputedly rings a bell to feed feral cats on the moors.
4. There've been weird happenings at the 250-year-old White Swan, Idle, with the sighting of a woman near the cellar door.
5. The haunted Blue Bell in Shipley would perhaps be further up this list had it not been exorcised by a team of spiritualists.
6. One of the less politically-correct ghosts in the district can be found at the 100-year-old Harp of Erin, whose cheeky spectre likes to grope the staff.
7. The Grosvenor Hotel, Ivegate, with its mysterious barman and moving chains.
8. In 1906 parachutist Lily Cove died after her parachute failed. Her spirit is now said to frequent the Old White Lion in Haworth.
9. Fans of literature should check out the Black Bull, Haworth, where the spectre of Branwell Bronte with his disheveled red hair and wild eyes has apparently been a regular over the years.
10. Finally, if you need cheering up after all that horror, visit the Old White Horse, one of Bingley’s oldest pubs, with its giggling spirit.
That's it for our rundown of the Bradford district's most haunted public houses - have you ever experienced spooky goings-on in one of these pubs? Or have we missed one off our list? Let us know in the comments!
