PLANS for a new gym have been given the go-ahead.
An application was lodged with Bradford Council to transform the former Moorside Works on Abb Scott Lane, Low Moor, into the independent 'The Pride' gym.
In a supporting letter, applicant Terry Holt said the gym would look to employ three local people and two other local people on a part-time basis.
Proposed plans for the gym show a main gym area, a spin room, a ladies-only workout room, plus showers and changing rooms.
One objection was submitted, raising concerns about additional traffic, parking and highway safety. However, Bradford Council's highway officer raised no objections.
The decision report said the active use of the building will have "benefits for the appearance and upkeep of the building".
