THE work of a breast cancer charity was highlighted at a pub's fundraising night.
The Woolpack in Yeadon hosted a charity fundraiser organised by MY (Mid Yorkshire) Breast Cancer Support Group, which provides an online forum for women of all ages during their journey with primary or secondary breast cancer. The event raised more than £575 for the charity through a quiz, silent auction, prize raffle and ‘Play Your Cards Right’ game.
The victors of the quiz even donated their winnings to the proceeds from the evening.
The charity was launched in January this year and is already providing support to more than 100 local women. Proceeds from the evening will help deliver emotional and practical care, during and after treatment. Women can self refer, via a Facebook closed forum at MY (Mid Yorkshire) Breast Cancer Support.
