MASKED men wielding axes swooped on a Bradford cash and carry, threatening staff and swiping cash before fleeing the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the robbery at Milano European Foods on Bowling Back Lane.
It happened yesterday at some time between 2.15pm and 2.30pm.
The group, all wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, threatened staff inside with axes.
They made off a few minutes later with a small amount of cash, fleeing the scene in a blue Audi car.
No-one was injured in the incident.
DI Ryan Bragg of Bradford District CID, said: “We are conducting a number of enquiries into this incident and would like to speak to anyone who has information or who saw a blue Audi, possibly an A3, arriving at or leaving the scene on Bowling Back Lane between 2.10pm and 2.30pm.
“Anyone who can assist our enquiries should contact Bradford District CID on 101 referencing crime number 13180466012.
“Information can also be given anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 080 555 111.”
