SHIPLEY coffee roasters Cafe Espresso are enjoying a recent win after being awarded a 1-star Great Taste award.
The award was for the company's Charlestown Espresso Blend & Unione Espresso Blend.
Nino Di Rienzo owner of Casa Espresso who also won the T&A Bradford Means Business Awards Retail category in 2017, said “The Great Taste logo has added value to our business in terms of credibility, opening doors to new retailers, and ultimately increasing sales.
"For our Charlestown, this is the second year in a row it has received the accolade, and we’re really pleased that Unione is now also recognised with this prestigious award.”
Great Taste is the largest and most trusted accreditation scheme for fine food and drink. Established in 1994, it encourages and mentors artisan food producers, offering a unique benchmarking and product evaluation service leading to an independent accreditation that enables small food and drink businesses to compete against supermarket premium own label brands.
Since 1994 over 134,000 products have been assessed. This year 12,634 products were blind-tasted by panels of specialists: top chefs, food writers, influencers, food critics, restaurateurs and fine food retailers.
