A YORKSHIRE businessman will take over the role of Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire today - a job which acts as the Queen's representative in the County.
Ed Anderson is currently Chairman of National Savings & Investments and Chairman of the Airport Operators Association.
He is a board member of Opera North, a Council Member of the University of Leeds, Trustee of the Leeds Piano Competition, and Pro Chancellor at Leeds Trinity University.
Mr Anderson was previously a High Sheriff of West Yorkshire and is the former chief executive of Leeds Bradford Airport..
He said taking over the role was a "great honour".
He added: "I pay tribute to the way that my predecessor, Dame Ingrid Roscoe, has carried out her duties as Lord-Lieutenant with such charm and dignity over the past 14 years."
