A CAMPAIGN is underway to help young people choose their future career.
Launched in February, #futuregoals is a careers campaign designed by young people for young people, teachers and parents.
Its aim is to inspire career choices and raise awareness of opportunities working in the Leeds City Region’s manufacturing and engineering, construction and infrastructure, digital, health and creative industries. Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe (pictured), Chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority said: "By visiting the #futuregoals website at http://futuregoals.the-lep.com young people who have just got their GCSE results and are thinking about their futures can find out a whole host of information about the kinds of roles available, the skills they need for those roles and where they can find training and advice to acquire the skills.
“#futuregoals also aims to address the gender imbalance in the City Region’s key sectors, providing valuable resources for girls looking to pursue a career in traditionally male sectors."
