THOSE looking for a dentist in Bradford have been advised that other practices in the wider Yorkshire area are currently taking on NHS patients.
The news comes after it was announced Buttershaw Lane Dental Care Unit will close next month.
BUPA has said some of its practices in Pontefract and Doncaster are currently accepting new NHS patients.
And in nearby town Castleford, Bupa Dental Care will take on NHS patients from September.
Amanda Finley, Area Manager at Bupa Dental Care said: “Anyone in Bradford who recently read headlines about the lack of NHS dental spaces needn’t worry.
"We have practices who are taking on new NHS patients and we’d encourage everyone who wants to book an appointment to get in touch.”
NHS Band 1 appointments cover an examination, diagnosis, including X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, preventative care, and a scale and polish if clinically needed – they are free to under 18’s and cost £21.60 for adults
