A NEW booklet has been launched aiming to inform and inspire those recovering from a stroke in the city.
It has been put together by members of the Creative Stroke Recovery Group, who are currently showcasing some of their artwork on the big screen in City Park.
The booklet, entitled Routes to Recovery After a Stroke, aims to encourage people to use creativity as part of the recovery process.
Anne Sanasy, secretary of the popular group, said: “We decided to share our experience in Routes to Recovery After a Stroke. We are really pleased with how our booklet has turned out and hope it will encourage stroke survivors and service providers to have confidence in using creativity as part of the recovery process – it has certainly worked for us!”
The group is based at the Delius Arts and Cultural Centre in Bradford and started in 2012, beginning as a 12-week arts and health project organised by Artworks Creative Communities.
