ONE OF Bradford’s top employers is throwing its weight behind the BID and urging other businesses to “Vote Yes!”
Gary Fowler, director of the YBS branch network (pictured, above right), said: “We’re proud to be based in Bradford, the UK’s youngest city. As a major employer here, we want to see a safe, clean, vibrant and appealing city centre, and the BID has set out credible plans to make that happen.
“We’re also passionate about the future of Bradford. The BID Business Plan matches that passion with ambition, and we hope it will contribute to a top-class shopping environment for our members around our city centre branch, a more attractive city centre for our colleagues to spend time in outside work, and a programme of events which celebrate everything Bradford has to offer.
“If you’re not sure whether to support the BID, I would urge you to read their plans for the city, and ask whether they would help you attract customers, improve your working environment, or help you recruit the best colleagues to work in your business. As a building society based in West Yorkshire for over 150 years, we think they will.”
