A NEW housing development "won't be particularly good looking" according to one Councillor.
Bradford Council's Regulatory and Appeals Committee met on Thursday to discuss amendments to the development off Holts Lane, Clayton.
The plans, by Barratt and David Wilson Homes, were approved earlier this year, but developers had asked for an amendment that would see an extra home built, taking the numbers of houses to 100, amending the layout of the estate, and including more four bed homes.
Over 50 people had objected to the amendments, and at the meeting councillors agreed with many of their issues.
However, they falt that considering the site already had permission for housing, there was no good reason to refuse the amended plans.
Councillor Simon Cooke (Cons, Bingley Rural) Said: "I don't think this is a cracking piece of urban design. It won't be a particularly good looking development. But we would be on flimsy ground to refuse it."
The amendments were then approved.
