A WORLD champion boxer is to take a step away from the ring to complete three challenging charity runs to help orphans.
Tasif Khan, 35, first stepped into the pro ring back in 2005 and was finally able to pursie his dream full-time in 2012. His achievements have helped to fly the flag for Bradford and Tasif is determined to use his position to bring some good to the world. And part of that is his mission to raise money for the KORT charity and raise awareness of its work through his role as an ambassador.
KORT, which stands for Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust, was founded in 2005 after a devastating earthquake hit the region. Now Tasif, who has been out to visit the orphanage, is hoping to raise £10,000.
He will complete a half marathon in Bradford on Friday before tackling a 10k run in Leicester on Saturday and another 10k run in Hull on Sunday - all while fasting for Ramadan. Visit www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/tasifkhan
