A CAMPAIGN group which fights to protect green space is to hold its annual general meeting.
The Greenhill Action Group will hold the meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 22, at Oakwood Hall in Bingley.
The group had fought a long battle against plans for new homes on green fields at Sty Lane, Micklethwaite.
In 2016, a proposal for more than 400 homes was rubber-stamped after the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Sajid Javid, agreed with Bradford Council’s granting of outline planning permission.
Now the group aims to make sure the community is not ‘sold short’ as the development progresses.
At the meeting, members of the committee will be elected.
However, the positions of chairman, secretary and treasurer were elected last year and are not due for re-election until 2020. A normal business meeting will then follow.
