MORE high-rise buildings in Bradford may have the same type of cladding seen in the devastating Grenfell Tower fire, it has emerged.

Seventy-one people died in the blaze in June, with the spread of the fire linked to a type of cladding called aluminium composite material (ACM).

Testing in Bradford revealed ACM had been used on one building, the privately-owned Landmark House in Broadway.

Now a new Council scrutiny report reveals that the same cladding may be on a “small number” of other high-rise residential buildings in the district, which have not been named.

The report says the authority’s Building Control was working with the housing standards team, the Government and the fire service “to determine the type of cladding on these buildings”. The matter will be discussed at a scrutiny meeting tomorrow.
