Set top box maker Pace Miro technology has announced a new business win with television giants BSkyB.

The Saltaire-based electronics firm has won additional business to produce Digiboxes for the company for the 2007 financial year.

Under previously-awarded contracts, Pace expects to continue to begin delivering Sky HD boxes by the end of 2007 and continues to ship the Sky+ digital video recorders.

The contracts will be factored into Pace's expected financial performance for the 2007 and 2008 year.

Neil Gaydon, above, chief executive, said: "With the new supply agreement, we are delighted to confirm our ongoing relationship with Sky.

"I am particularly pleased that we will start supplying Sky HD boxes for the first time later this year."

Pace is experiencing a return to form of late, with the growth in demand for digital TV and flat screen television sets. The firm made a profit of £6.1 million last year, compared with a £15.6 million loss the year before. The success follows progress in the company's foreign markets.

Much of the business Pace does is in the highly lucrative America market, with the country being the target for much of its business.

Pace has more than 30 North American cable companies as customers and deals with Comcast and DirecTV, two of the world's leading operators.
