A sixth man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of Bradford businessman Teddy Simpson.

Police said the Bradford man is being quizzed by murder squad detectives. Another man, arrested on Sunday, is still in custody.

Detectives have been carrying out a search of a garage business in Huddersfield Road, Low Moor, Bradford, in connection with the inquiry.

Four men arrested on Friday have been released, one without charge and the other three on bail pending further inquiries.

Detectives are appealing for information about the killing of Mr Simpson, 56, who had four children, seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was severely beaten after a group of men burst into his detached home in Sticker Lane, Laisterdyke, last Wednesday evening.

It is believed he was bundled into a vehicle before his body was dumped in a secluded lane leading to the former Beechwood nursing home, off Huddersfield Road, Lower Wyke.

He had been assaulted and died of multiple injuries.

Mr Simpson ran two businesses, in stone and car sales, from premises adjoining his home.
