Police are investigating the death of a Bradford taxi driver found collapsed close to his cab in a village near Doncaster.

Parvez Akhtar, 49, was found in Ruskin Drive, Armthorpe, at 5am on Sunday.

A post-mortem examination was carried out but the results are not being released by detectives "for investigative purposes".

A 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man from Doncaster were arrested in connection with the matter and bailed pending further inquiries.

South Yorkshire Police say people may have been in the area at the time. They are appealing for anyone who was in or around Ruskin Drive or Tennyson Avenue at 5.30am on Sunday and who has information about the incident to get in touch.
