Work starts today on repairing three sections of the Bradford ring road.

Bradford Council is warning motorists to expect delays while essential work is done on the A6177 at Carlisle Road, Manningham, Horton Grange Road/Great Horton Road and Rooley Lane.

The work is being done during the school holidays when less traffic is on the roads.

Temporary lane closures will be in operation for three or four weeks on Rooley Lane from the M606 Staygate Roundabout to the A650 Wakefield Road during weekdays, except morning peak times. There will be access to the Asda superstore at Bierley Lane at all times.

There will also be temporary lane closures on Great Horton Road from Ivanhoe Road from today during weekdays. The road will be closed on Sunday when there will be no access to or from Horton Grange Road and to All Saints Road from Great Horton Road.

From Thursday, temporary traffic lights will be in use on Carlisle Road, Manningham, from Monday to Friday and the road will be closed on Sunday, August 19 and September 2.
