A Bradford MP has issued a plea to everyone to get involved in the world's biggest coffee morning to raise funds for cancer sufferers.

Shipley MP Philip Davies is supporting the Macmillan Cancer event on Friday, September 28, which aims to see thousands of coffee mornings happening acorss the country.

He said: "In the UK today one in three people is affected by cancer. I know that many of my constituents have personal experience of the problems a cancer diagnosis can bring to both patients and their family.

"Macmillan Cancer Support is there for people from the moment they are diagnosed, with really practical help and support. Holding a coffee morning is an easy way to make sure Macmillan has the money to continue its vital work and I hope lots of coffee gets brewed in my constituency."
