Emergency service bosses are urging drivers to get out of the way after an ambulance was stuck in a traffic jam in Bradford city centre.
The ambulance was stuck in congested traffic outside Morrisons in Westgate on yesterday around 1pm.
John Darley, operations director for the Ambulance Service, said when road users hear or see an emergency vehicle, they should safely, with due care and attention for themselves and other road users, do everything within their power to allow smooth and uninterrupted passage for the oncoming emergency vehicle - whether an ambulance or rapid response car.
"The advice from Yorkshire Ambulance Service is always be aware of emergency sirens or emergency lights - whether on individually or both operating together."
