Amended plans to create a regional £7.5 million basketball centre in Bradford have been submitted.
Basketball champion John Amaechi is behind the scheme at playing fields in Wyke.
A planning application was first passed in April and this fresh one is to turn the building around 90 degrees.
The project would be funded by the Amaechi Basketball Centres Foundation, which was set up to get young people more involved in physical activity.
Mr Amaechi is the former Sheffield Sharks, Orlando Magic and Utah Jazz star. If the plans get approval the Huddersfield Road centre would be the second of its kind in the country after Manchester.
The centre would be run on a not-for-profit basis, sustained by affordable community leisure facilities such as a gymnasium, five-a-side football pitches, junior football pitches, one adult football pitch and one adult rugby pitch. One the basketball side, there would be four courts, changing rooms, offices and six shops. There are also plans for a second building for overnight accommodation.
