As the son of a multiple sclerosis therapy centre manger, Joshua Goodwin is well aware of the good work it does.
And this week he did his bit to help the flood-hit centre Rawdon with a 16-mile sponsored wheelchair push.
Joshua raised funds for the centre, which has suffered more than £25,000 worth of damage, by pushing centre member Gill Brown in a wheelchair from Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresborough to Rawdon.
His proud mother Joanne said: " Joshua is 13 and has helped us raise money for the centre for several years by doing a variety of events, from helping run tombola stalls and car boots to abseiling down a quarry when he was just seven."
Joshua and his mother also joined a group of people with MS who were taking part in a walk from Edinburgh to London to present a petition to Gordon Brown about services for sufferers of MS.
