Further to the ideas about what to do with worn-out sheets and towels last week, Hilda Bartle, of West Bowling, has passed on her tips for giving new life to old curtains. She has saved hers to throw over furniture when decorating or laying on the floor when she's using lots of water. They also came in useful to collect shards of glass when a window was replaced in her front door - the workman said he wished he had a pair!
