The Andrew Ayres murder trial has been delayed until Monday to sort out legal matters.
A jury was due to be sworn in today at Bradford Crown Court and Adrian Waterman QC was to open the prosecution case.
But the Recorder of Bradford Judge Stephen Gullick agreed to delay the proceedings until next week.
Michael Hall, 23, Laura Mitchell, 22, Henry Ballantyne, 20, and 24-year-old Jason Fawthrop all deny murdering Mr Ayres on January 28.
All four defendants, whose addresses cannot be revealed, also plead not guilty to violent disorder.
Mr Ayres, 50, of Queensbury, died of head injuries after a disturbance in the King's Head car park in Halifax Road, Buttershaw, Bradford.
He was married with daughters aged 21 and 14.
