Plans to replace a shop and replace it with homes have been submitted to councillors.
Gillian Schepisi wants to demolish the derelict shop and house in Shortbank Road, Skipton, and replace it with a pair of semi-detached homes and a block of three more, all with parking spaces.
An associated single-storey block of garages will also be demolished.
In her application to the council, Mrs Schepisi said the new homes would be elevated to reduce the risk of flooding.
"Unlike the existing block of six terraced, three-storey dwellings, which is known to have flooded in the past, this scheme will be on a higher base level to avoid any future problems," she said.
