A CONFERENCE entitled Global Journey of Peace, held to coincide with International Peace Day, was a huge success, say organisers.
The get together for all faiths at Bankfield Mercure Hotel in Bingley was organised by Ironline Productions UK and was supported by West Yorkshire Police, Bradford Council, The Peace Museum, various community and multi-faith groups, as well as Bradford College and the University of Bradford.
Georgi Majid, who worked with Ironline Productions to stage the event said: "It was a great success and the message of peace was shared with many different religions and faiths who all came together with respect for one another.
"I would like to thank everyone for attending and making this a memorable and historic day for the people of Bradford.
"I am encouraged by everyone to continue with Global Journey for Peace."
Ironline Productions, based in Pakistan, has been working at developing new, creative and innovative ways of using art and media to spread the message of peace.
Mr Majid added: "The International Peace Day was a celebratory day to bring together diverse communities. It was wonderful to see so many together at the Bankfield Hotel to enjoy the expressive art, poetry and writings from a broad spectrum of backgrounds."
