Staff and pupils from Carlton Bolling College gave the Lord Mayor of Bradford a tour of the school, to celebrate being awarded an outstanding' ranking from Government Inspectors.
In December 2004 the secondary school in Undercliffe was deemed to be failing and was in Ofsted's special measures category after inspectors noted serious weaknesses.
Now, the school has been given the Government body's top ranking - the first secondary in Bradford to achieve the accolade.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Robin Owens, visited the school to recognise the achievements of pupils and staff.
