PLANS to turn a former pub in Bradford into a new dental practice have been given the go-ahead.
Bradford Council has approved an application by Eccleshill Dental Practice to convert the former Prince of Wales pub at the junction of Leeds Road and Harrogate Road.
The pub closed around two years ago and the applicant, which already has a practice on Institute Road, is looking to expand the business.
The original application stated: “The re-development of this brownfield site would mean valuable public services remain in the area and there is the potential for local people to be employed within a growing business.”
Council planning officer Ross Hallam wrote: “Bringing the building back into use will have clear and discernible benefits to the appearance and upkeep of the site.”
