A PUBLIC tip off led to police discovering a stolen motorbike in woods in Thorpe Edge.
On Tuesday a member of the public called police regarding some "suspicious males" seen with a new looking motorbike behind a block of flats in Thorpe Edge.
An officer from the nuisance bike team attended and found the bike hidden under the undergrowth down a steep hill in a wooded area.
The bike, which had been stolen on Monday, was returned to its owner.
PC Richard Lawn said: “We are glad that following up on calls from members of the public, we were able to locate this stolen motorbike and allow it to be returned to the rightful owner so quickly.
"Please keep your information coming in, it really makes a big difference to our effectiveness.”
The bike team can be contacted on 101 or bdasbbiketeam@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
